We find that a bible-bop is a great way of moving from the games into
the worship. Children prefer this to singing and this will draw them to
the worship area. We suggest using it again after tea to draw people
back to the worship area. |

Craft
|
For
the communal craft we suggest writing or drawing prayers on post-its to
bring to the front during the prayers and sticking them onto a larger
picture which could be of a garden. We offer a picture of the Garden of
Gethsemane as it is today - Download
There is a craft of making a praying hands silhouettes at:
http://www.dltk-bible.com/crafts/mhands.htm
You can also draw round a hand and use each finger as a reminder to
prayer for someone. There are more details at:
http://ministry-to-children.com/five-finger-prayer/
For cooking we would suggest getting a large plain sponge cake and then
collectively decorating it with coloured icing and edible flowers etc.

Tea
We
have found that sandwiches, crisps, sausage rolls, pizza, jelly and ice
cream make a really good Sunday tea. The Notes suggest a number of "I
wonder questions" to start conversations about the video and the story.
|
|
Response
|
We suggest calling everyone
back to the
worship space by repeating the bible-bop
