We find that a bible-bop is a great way of moving from the games into the worship. Children prefer this to singing and this will draw them to the worship area. Craft

The main craft this week will be making the Christingles. You will need oranges, candles, some ribbon (sticky backing will help), cocktail sticks, sweets and nuts. Small children will need some help with this.

For the communal craft we suggest making a large picture of a Christingle, but leaving the sticks clear. Get the children to draw (or cut out from a magazine) their favourite food and then stick it onto the Christingle.

For cooking we would suggest making some Christmas tree shaped biscuits and then decorating them with icing, silver balls, sugar strands and other decorations.

Tea

We have found that sandwiches, crisps, sausage rolls, pizza, jelly and ice cream make a really good Sunday tea. It would also be great to add some Christmas treats such as Mince pies, Christmas Cake, Chocolate Logs etc.
